St. George Utah’s 2015 Parade of Homes

St. George Utah’s 2015 Parade of Homes

The Southern Utah / St. George Parade of Homes was initially designed to highlight some of the incredible architectural designs and building that takes place in the greater St. George area. Both as a means of attracting visitors, as well as potential new residence from different corners of the country, allowing those new to the area to discover why calling Washington County home is both a stylish and fiscally responsible thing to do.

As is always the case, this year the forward thinking folks at the Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) and Zions Bank will be hosting Southern Utah’s Parade of Homes. Parade week in the St. George area is a pretty big deal for the local economy and is held every year during February, at the beginning of the President’s Day weekend – running for a total of 10 days.

This year’s architectural extravaganza, otherwise known as The Parade of Homes will kick off February 13-22, 2015. An annual pilgrimage for interior designers and cutting-edge architects, the southwestern home-building event helps new homeowners discover exciting new construction techniques and design applications. Each and every home that participates in the Parade of Homes will be completed to the very last detail – decorated, landscaped, and in some cases ready to be purchased. Technologically advanced upgrades abound in these futuristic southwestern homes, emphasizing the incredible craftsmanship and gifted local artisans. These fantastically appointed modern structures are gently blended and weaved within the beautiful southwestern landscapes, only found in Southern Utah.

Despite the fact that this is the 25th year of the St. George Utah Parade of Homes – this event remains cutting-edge. Featuring new homes loaded with some of the most innovative technological advancements available. Regardless of whether or not this is your first year, or your 25th year of enjoying this southern Utah tradition – each and every Parade of Homes offers a learning experience for its attendees.

Parade of Homes Encourages Style and Growth

Each year thousands of people flood into the greater St. George area to witness this architectural juggernaut. While some may question just what draws so many people to the “Palm Springs” of Utah for their annual Parade of Homes? My best guess would be the awe-inspiring vistas and diverse southwestern landscapes, enjoyable year-round golf climate, and cutting-edge bldg. techniques – or perhaps it’s the Martha Stewart in all of us – yearning to be current with the latest in home design and decorating.

Here is a current list of the participating builders, architects and interior designers who have already committed to participating in the 2015 St. George Utah Parade of Homes: A J Construction, Inc., American Heritage Homes, Bangerter Homes of Southern Utah, Brian Geer Development, Inc., Circle A Builders, Desert Sky Homes, LLC, Development Solutions Group, Inc., DG Ventures, Ence Homes, Jack Fisher Construction of Southern Utah, LLC, Jack Fisher Homes of Southern Utah, LLC, Horizon Homes of Utah, Inc., Interstate Homes, Ivory Homes, Ivory Southern, J2 Construction, LLC, K H Traveller, Development, Inc., K Welch Construction, Keystone Construction & Design, Inc., Markay Johnson Construction, Richardson Brothers Custom Homes, S & S Homes, Salisbury Construction, Slate Ridge Homes, Split Rock Custom Homes, Split Rock Fine Homes, SunRiver Construction, LLC, and Xcellent Homes

Kicking off an annual Southern Utah tradition, the Staheli family corn maze will be open to the public Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. Thanks to the generosity of the Staheli family, local residents can get lost in their great pumpkin patch or corn maze, located at 3400 S. Washington Fields Rd. This is a true southern Utah working farm … and all that it includes. Occasionally smelling a bit ripe, family members can ride the cow-train, get lost in the corn maze or just take a pleasant wagon ride around this authentic Southern Utah farm.

As part of the Mormon tradition, self-sufficiency ranks high on their list. As such, the Saturday farmers market of locally grown produce carries on a significant connection with the earth. Our local farmers market features produce from locally sourced farms, live music, and intriguing arts and crafts displayed by local artisans. Free to the general public, the farmers market will be held in the courtyard at Ancestor Square, located at 1 W. St. George Boulevard.
