Greater St. George Utah Placed Fifth For Metropolitan Growth Rate By United States Census Bureau

St. George, Utah — It’s Monday morning March 30, 2015 and last Thursday the United States Census Bureau announced their recent population assessments for America’s growth rate in metropolitan and micropolitan cities. The study looked at growth rates from July 1, 2013 to July 1, 2014. Shocking absolutely none who live here, St. George, Utah came in fifth on the list of the Top 20 fastest-growing metropolitan areas.”

Per the information released last week by United States Census Bureau, the estimated population for St. George Utah as of July 1, 2014 was approximately 151, 948 … representing a 2.9 percent growth rate during the 12 month time period.

According to the same report, Utah also experienced encouraging growth rates in its micropolitan areas: Two Utah towns also landed on the top 10 list for fastest-growing micro areas in the U.S.

Additionally, two of Utah’s fastest growing counties also placed high on the US Census Bureau’s population assessment list of fast growing areas; as growth in both Wasatch and Morgan Counties placed them among the 10 fastest-growing counties in the U.S. — hitting No. 8 and 10 respectively.
