St. George, Utah – it’s early Tuesday morning February 10, 2015, and there have been 26 “Active New” St. George Utah real estate listings placed on the Southern Utah MLS hot sheet over the last 24 hours.
While a total of 50 Southern Utah properties for sale appear on the “Active New” side of today’s Washington County Board of Realtors (WCBR) MLS hot sheet, only 26 of the 50 listings are actually new to the St. George Utah MLS. The remaining 24 real estate listings were in some way revised (read: updated pictures, documentation, or disclosures), then migrated back on to the “Active New” side of the WCBR MLS hot sheet as a means of informing the other 900+ Realtors on the board of Realtors.
In addition to the new real estate listings mentioned on today’s MLS Hot Sheet, today’s list indicates that 26 St. George Utah real estate listings now have accepted contracts and have been placed in escrow over the last 24 hours, while another 14 Southern Utah listings have successfully closed escrow.

Demonstrating the hyperactive nature of the Southern Utah real estate market, we see the following 26 properties have been placed in escrow over the last 24 hours.
Since Monday morning, 11 properties between $1,185,000 and $259,900 have successfully negotiated an acceptable real estate purchase contract (REPC). Additionally, we see one listing priced at $254,800 with a “Contingent” status – meaning they have received an offer that has an outstanding contingency, like the sale of the buyer’s home. Beyond that, 14 other properties under $239,900 are now going through the due diligence process … generally a nerve-racking time for all involved.
St. George Utah Real Estate Listings: Sold
With regards to the most recently closed escrows in the greater St. George area, we see that two buyers/realtors have opted to withhold their ultimate sales price, as is their right. Thankfully, the remaining 12 buyers weren’t quite so reticent. Between $623,807 and $230,000 today’s MLS hot sheet is showing us that seven St. George real estate listings have made it to the ultimate finish line – the close of escrow. Meanwhile the remaining five escrows that closed over the last 24 hours were below $227,500.
