The Red Rock Golf Trail is actually a website that provides a valuable service for those golfers that are in a hurry and would like to book their tee times on several local golf course from one convenient website. Not a bad place to start!
Originally designed by Bill Neff in 1969 and built later that year, Bloomington Country Club (BCC) long stood as a beacon to southern Utah’s golf aficionados, who knew BCC as the first private members only golf course in the area. Offering three types of primary memberships: equity, non-equity golf, non-equity social; Bloomington country club is a great place to get in a round of golf while the rest of the family relaxes around the pool and a country club atmosphere.
The community of Coral Canyon and its golf course sits just outside of St. George, Ut, proximally 10 miles north on I-15, off State Route 9. Head north on I -15, taking the Hurricane exit. Coral Canyon Golf Course and community will be on your right-hand side.
A 7,029-yard, par 72 course, Coral Canyon provides spectacular views of the Pine Valley mountain range while playing one of Southern Utah’s top rated golf courses.
Bring lots of golf balls, a bag full of patients and a wallet full of cash: while this golf course offers spectacular views, as its narrow fairways wind through razor sharp lava fields (Which are designated sensitive areas that cannot be walked in, so if you hit your ball and there .. it’s gone.), you’ll pay a princely sum to walk the lush greens, set majestically against the red rock tapestry that comprises the view shed of Snow Canyon.
Located in and operated by the city of Washington, Utah, Green Springs golf course has been recognized by the likes of golf Digest magazine for their spectacular views and course layout – noting its unique utilization of nature’s beauty for creating an elevated level of natural obstacles within gameplay.
Coming in at a very respectable 7,300 yards, Sand Hollow’s Golf course was featured in a 2008 issue of Golf Magazine, noted as the 6thbest new golf course in the country. The championship golf course, which makes dramatic use of its natural topography, provides for breathtaking elevation changes from tee box to green. It’s awe inspiring rock outcroppings surround the 18-hole championship golf course, creating vivid memories of picturesque vistas and incredible golf holes.
Sky Mountain golf course is situated off of state Route 9 in Hurricane, Utah. Located just a quick 15 minute drive outside of St. George Utah, Sky Mountain golf course is a public 18-hole golf course that is owned and operated by the city. Offering one of the most picturesque and fiscally responsible 18 holes in the greater St. George area – the 6,383 yard, par 72 course offers a greater level of challenge than it’s short yardage would imply.
Golf is big in St. George Utah, in case you haven’t already guessed. As evidence, the city of St. George currently is the proud owner of four golf courses in the greater St. George area, offering varying levels of difficulty: Dixie Red Hills, St. George Golf Club, Sunbrook, and one of my personal favorites … Southgate golf course. It’s hard to lose golf on this course, wide-open and forgiving.
While the community that surrounds the Sunriver golf course is absolutely amazing – the course itself leaves a bit to be desired. But in a pinch, it will definitely do. Winding in, through, and around the SunRiver retirement community, SunRiver golf course sits downstream from St. George on the Virgin River – just south of the Bloomington Country Club area.
Located at 1585 Ledges Pkwy in St. George Utah, The Legends of St. George sits perched high upon sandstone cliffs, overlooking Snow Canyon. The golf course at The Ledges of St. George offers a southern Utah spin on world-class golf. A 7,200 yard 18-hole golf course designed by legendary designer Matt Dye – The Ledges is host to the Billy Casper golf Academy. A public golf course, The Ledges have elevated the game for the general public, boasting amenities and conditions that would challenge, if not exceed, the pristine condition of big dollar private clubs.
