St. George, Utah: Realtors Close $16 Million In Real Estate First Week of October

Realtors in the greater St. George area sold more than $16 million worth of real estate during the first week of October.

St. George, Utah – Over the past seven days, our conscientious Realtors in southern Utah have successfully closed 49 escrows in Washington County. Classified as either a single-family residential house or a condo/townhouse, last week’s sales started at approximately $123K on the low-end … and peaked just north of $1.4 million.

$16 Million in Seven Days –

Confident, steadfast, and offering their eventual buyers few inducements, a recent report published by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) indicates sellers are doing precious little to incentivize the home buying process. Nationally, 80 percent of all home seller’s felt no need to participate in the buyer’s closing costs, home warranty purchase, modifications, or “Condo Fees.”

Southern Utah real estate listings for sale during the first week of October had an ‘Average List Price’ of $338,134 and an ‘Average Sold Price’ $333,715. Sold, after spending less than 40 ‘Collective Days on Market,’ (CDOM), those real estate listings falling within the “Average” category received 98.65% of their OLP (Original List Price) – and typically sold for approximately $146 per square foot.

Median priced housing in southern Utah for the first week of October typically sold in less than 25 days, when properly priced. With an average “Median” List Price per Square Foot of $145, these listings typically closed for 98.25% of their original list price.
